About
ARO was tasked to created a pitch competition in order to fulfill grant funding from The Downtown Kingsport Association. We were given full creative freedom to design an event that the Northeast Tennessee region had never seen before.
Thus, The MADE Gala was born. An acronym for makers, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs, MADE is a regional celebration of creators of every kind.
About
Our team chose the color red as the theme for the 2019 MADE Gala. Red represents passion, determination, courage, and energy; all are qualities of the entrepreneurial spirit and mind.
The event comprised of three parts
Artisan pop-up shops with vendors including artists, jewelry designers, makers, and specialty boutiques.
A Shark Tank style pitch competition for startups and entrepreneurs with a great product or idea.
A themed, black-tie gala celebration with dancing, specialty cocktails and small bites.
Looking Forward
The MADE Gala will continue into the coming years promoting and supporting local artists, makers and entrepreneurs. We are currently planning the 2020 event and are looking for sponsors, participants and venues.
